Working with digital photo collages and video, Molander puts emphasis on new relationships between architecture, social environment, living memory and the humans within it. In his recent exhibitions, Molander has been approaching a more painterly and abstract language where history, fantasy and the aesthetics of computer games are becoming more present than before. In this series, which is a development from his acclaimed exhibition Elfenbenstornen at the gallery in 2017, Molander continues to rework art historical material through his digital techniques using both well-known and forgotten paintings together with his own photography, following the links between the past and the present.
